The Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands has made giant strides over the past years despite some challenges. Your positive attitude made a big impact on our performance and I really appreciate your support. It is quite imperative to owe our success to our esteemed stakeholders for the trust and understanding and of course to our employees who have been the backbone of the leading edge performance.
It has undoubtedly been a great journey of 15 years. The journey has been full of excitement, challenges and unmatched experience for creating a full-service integrated organization. The OASL since the very beginning has been at the fore front of delivering superlative performance. Our performance characteristics are uniquely defined by our work culture and everything we do. Our culture begins with our three values that drive everything we do: Equity, Accountability and Transparency.
At OASL, employees are empowered to ask questions, make recommendations and continuously change things for the better.The OASL has a culture of mentoring. Leaders are portrayed as role models, and rewards are given for outstanding performance. You will be surprised, OASL has an in-house loyalty program that motivates and serves its employees and encourages them for an out-of-the-box approach.
Today, our presence can be felt in almost every part of the country. We currently operate from eight Regional offices and over eighty (80) District Offices and we are proud to share our successes as a public institution. These characteristics provide the foundation on which we are building.
2013 promises to be very eventful as the Office continues to be in the fore front in the implementation of activities under the Second Phase of the Ghana Land Administration Project (LAP). I would like to use this opportunity to inform the general public particularly chiefs and land owners that, in collaboration with stakeholders the Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands will commence scaling up activities piloted under the first Phase of LAP.
The activities aim at strengthening Land Administration in the country to ensure greater security and certainty of land tenure for land owners and users, encourage further investment in land and promote Sustainable Natural Resource management include the Establishment of Customary Land Secretariats (CLS), Demarcation of Customary Land Boundaries (CBD), and Ascertainment of Customary Law (ACL). The Office will also undertake Documentation of Rural Parcel Rights (RPR). Interested persons should contact the Office for more information.
