'The current situation of property rating in Ghana is characterised by weak systems for determining revenue potentials and a weak management of revenue generating and collecting. A lot of properties are not valued at all or the existing valuation data are outdated'. The aim is to enhance internal revenue generating through LUPMIS with the new planning system and transparent property ratings and collection, which will increase the internally generated funds (IGF).
Tax revenue data and collection status will be stored in the external District Database, which is linked to LUPMIS. Their spatial display will be enabled through 'LUPMIS Tools', in particular the 'Printing Tools'.
